Accessible accommodation
Holiday home ievers is easily accessible for many people with disabilities. But as much as we would like to, we can’t offer each and every one the facilities that he or she needs.
We do, however, do our best to make everyone feel welcome. To help us with that, we can request help from Thuiszorg Zuidwest Friesland (home care) and the Hulpmiddelen Centrum (aids/resources).
On the following pages, you will find more information about the facilities in ievers. If you have any questions about those, please call us. We are happy to be of service.

Map ievers
Holiday home ievers does not have any thresholds. A platform lift can take you to the first floor in your wheelchair or with your walker. The lift is suitable for a weight of up to 225 kilogram.
We can rent aids for people with a disability.
Aids
If you would like to use aids such as a hoist or shower stretcher during your stay, we can arrange that for you. We will then call in the HMC (Hulpmiddelen Centrum, centre for aids/resources) for you.

Accessible
The entire holiday church is accessible to people in wheelchairs. All doors are wide enough, there are no thresholds anywhere and there is quite a bit of space around the kitchen island. A stair lift can take you to the seating area and the roof terrace.
The paths outside are wide enough for walkers and wheelchairs. And the gravel paths? Those do not pose a problem at ievers - special mats underneath the gravel path ensure that wheels can’t sink into it.
One bedroom is designed for people with disabilities.
Bedrooms
Of the four bedrooms at ievers, three are easily accessible with a wheelchair and/or walker. All doors are 90 centimetres wide and there is enough space around the beds.
The orange bedroom is specially equipped to accommodate people with disabilities. This room is adjacent to the bathroom that has facilities for the elderly and people in wheelchairs. The double bed has a high-low function and can easily be converted into two single beds.

Holiday home ievers has two bathrooms. One is specially equipped for the elderly and people with disabilities. This means that the washbasin is wheelchair accessible, that there is a shower chair (without armrests) and a toilet with braces.

Tips for a trip.
Going out
If you want to go out for a day with the wheelchair, you sometimes have to search hard for restaurants, museums and amusement parks that are easily accessible. To facilitate your search, we figured out 36 possible trips for you that are also accessible to people in wheelchairs.
